After 24 years dedicated service as a Parish councillor, George Allen has reluctantly tendered his resignation. His service started with Great Baddow Parish Council and continued with Galleywood when the new Parish was formed. Chairman John Turkentine said he was delighted to present George with a Galleywood Parish Council Rose Bowl and Mrs Allen received a white flowering orchid plant. George said he was sorry that he couldn't make the full twenty yeas, but he had very much enjoyed his period of office and felt that Galleywood Parish Council provided a first rate service to everyone in the village.
