Galleywood Common Association Inaugurated

A recent ‘invasion’ of The Common by a large band of itinerant road menders who camped on the race course for several days to the great consternation of local people, has triggered the formation of The Galleywood Common Association. The aim is to unite all those who want to preserve the beauty and amenity of The Common. The Common is owned by Chelmsford Borough Council and the Association will look to establish an association with the Borough Leisure Services Department who carry out the maintenance work.
