Pond Clearance on The Common

The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, assisted by members of Galleywood Common Association, spent the weekend of September 28-29 clearing two large ponds on The Common. Volunteers will be clearing away small trees, shrubs and leaf litter to allow light back into the ponds and to encourage various species to live there again.
